The Simon Diffey Heritage Motorsport Apprentice Award
Objective: To continue in perpetuity, a legacy of Simon’s ethos in recognising & encouraging the next generation of young Heritage Apprentice Engineers through opportunity.
Awarded to: A young individual, identified by a select panel of judges, for demonstrating talent in engineering, passion, enthusiasm, and exceptional commitment as a team player during their apprenticeship.
The Award:

To live and work for 1 month with a famous Heritage Motorsport race team

A £3,000 award to cover the cost of accommodation, travel and subsistence during their secondment

Secondment to include at least one international Historic Motorsport event

Plus, an opportunity to obtain ARDS race license
(Note: The Award will be made a year in advance to be taken the following summer)
To be Awarded at: Goodwood Revival 2022 - by His Grace, The Duke of Richmond
The 2022 Award will be a secondment to join the Classic Team Lotus for one month during the Summer 2023 race season.
