Why did you choose Heritage Skills Academy?
Heritage Skills Academy was very local to me and at the heart of UK's motor trade. I am very lucky to have had this opportunity very close to home and not need to travel far or use accommodation. As for other providers, I wasn't keen on going back to a non-specialist college again.
How does it compare to your previous experiences of schooling and training?
The learning environment is a great one for the reasons above, totally engrossed in all things motor trade and vintage. My past college experience and schooling experiences was shared with others not involved/interested in the subject I am studying.

Fun, Challenging, Informative, Enlightening, Family.
What has been your proudest moment?
From beginning with no experience, I am proud that after 18 months of learning that I appraised and successfully rebuilt my own gearbox for my classic mini. I really thought I was going to have to take it to a specialist.
When have you learnt the most and in what particular topic?
I have learnt a great deal about how engines function and their parts in a lot of detail.
What has been the biggest challenge for you to overcome whilst training with HSA?
Being able to recall everything I have learnt. I often find it difficult to absorb lots of information at a time, but I am getting better at this as time goes on, I find this satisfying to get right.
What are you long term career aspirations?
I would like to continue to progress with my learning and continue to work for Alpine Eagle Ltd. ideally. My colleagues talk to me about jobs they have done 10 or more years previously. I like the idea of being able to recall previous jobs and thinking how far I have progressed since. I am in this for the long run.
